Open Standards

WheresMyMedia encourages and participates in the establishment of Open Standards with the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA).  AMWA, formerly known as AAFA (Advanced Authority Format Association), protects clients and content creators by regulating standards and specifications for digital media formats.

Adopting Open Standards as a component of the workflow allows clients to easily exchange content across multiple platforms, systems, and applications. When assets are created in industry-compliant formats, clients are no longer hostage to vendors with unique codecs, making it costly and virtually impossible to move their content elsewhere.
